#JFUFaces: Meet Rostering Manager Connie

In the second of our #JFUFaces series, meet Connie, our wonderful rostering manager who leads our rostering team. A registered nurse who has worked at Just For U Care for 9 years, Connie began her career with us as a support worker, before transitioning to her role as an after-hours coordinator and then progressing to her current position of rostering manager. Connie is a cherished member of our office team, someone who all of our staff look up to for her dedication both to her team and our clients.

Why did you choose a profession in in-home care?

It was a natural progression from my personal experience of caring for my

grandparents, past work experience as a team leader in a 38 bed EMI residential facility in the UK and my field of study (nursing).

Can you share a bit about your role at Just For U Care?

My main role is supervising the rostering team – the front line of the office staff. Together with my team, I ensure shifts are filled in a timely manner and clients are matched with the right staff. I also contribute to organisational risk management, promote work safety, and staff compliance.

What do you love about working for Just For U Care?

I get excited matching in-home carers and support workers with a client. Yes, it can be challenging with the shortage of support workers across the industry, but the high of finding that solution (problem solving) is also rewarding.

Furthermore, the JFU Care team is a dynamic group of dedicated individuals. The team is very hands on and our director is very approachable and down to earth. Working at Just For U Care, no two days are the same which inspires me to challenge myself and do better.

Do you have any hobbies/ passions outside of work?

I enjoy playing chess, watching Asian dramas, and learning Korean and French.
